EMC Kamers / 19" EMC kasten
Radio Frequency ShieldingWe provide RF shielding - sometimes referred to as a 'Faraday Cage', to cover a wide frequency range from below 1kHz to 40GHz. EEP installations are used to protect MRI scanners, buildings, rooms, cabins or transportable containers. We build and fit-out to a variety of levels and performance specifications as dictated by the user. For RF shielding, EEP generally uses aluminium or copper (sheet or foil) and under certain conditions, galvanised steel to form the Faraday cage.MRI RoomsTo function properly, an MRI scanner needs to sit in a special room or chamber shielded against Radio Frequency (RF) interference. Without such protection the very weak RF signals that emanate from the patient when scanned, would be overwhelmed. The schematic illustrates the various components that go into making up a typical EEP MRI room.
Modular Rooms (Cabins) and ContainersThe EEP portfolio also includes self-contained shielded Modular Rooms (Cabins) and Containers. These are built to various performance specifications and fitted out to a variety of levels as dictated by the user.
Test & Evaluation suitesWe provide bespoke solutions to meet the express needs of the client. These solutions vary in physical size, shape and form of construction and include anechoic chambers.
